     I am the owner and director of Little Magpies Preschool.  As an East Sac resident, I am so excited to be serving the incredible community and families of Sacramento. My education includes a B.S in Child Development with a minor in Psychology from California Polytechnic State University and Masters of Social Work with a concentration of Children and Families from University of Southern California.  With over fifteen years of experience working with children and families, my roles have been diverse and expansive. As a clinical therapist I  worked with high risk foster youth living in group homes and with children, adolescents and families in crisis at Rady Children's Hospital. As a teacher I have taught in classrooms, led preschools, managed staff and learned how to bring learning opportunities to life through creativity. While guiding people through their hardest moments was an honor beyond words, my favorite role has always been witnessing the tiny moments filled with magic that happen in a classroom. My specialized and wide body of knowledge allows me to bring expertise, fresh energy, and a deep understanding of the developmental spectrum of children into my classroom.  I am so thrilled to own and operate my own preschool and share my talents with you.

   At Little Magpies Preschool, we believe that the most important part of the school day is learning through play and socialization with peers.  Your child will be surrounded by unique activities that encourage hands on learning and extended exploration to promote cognitive, emotional, and physical growth.  We know that these are the most formative and important years of your child's life, and we are excited to assist you in making them the healthiest, happiest and most creative they can be.

   Our center safety features include a secure key fob entrance, indoor/outdoor security cameras, monthly fire/earth quake practice drills, and CPR/first aid certified staff.  We are an AED equipped facility with fully trained staff.

All staff is required to obtain DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance and complete a Criminal History Report prior to employment; no exemptions are granted.
